Loughros Point
Loughros Peninsula – five miles long and with a magnificent view of the mountains and coastline. There are many beautiful beaches to chose from on the peninsula.
Dorleens
An unusual formation of white stones made round by the action of the tides on Loughros Point. Assaranca Falls and nearby Maghera Caves which are accessible at low tides are two other natural wonders, minutes from Ardara.

The Owenea River is regarded as one of the best fishing rivers in the country. The Owentocker River runs along the edge of the town. There are many brown trout lakes and rock fishing is available from Loughros Point, Rosbeg and Portnoo.

Ardara is the ideal base for touring south-west Donegal, with Sliabh League cliffs, the rugged coastline of Glencolmcille, the fishing village of Killybegs, and Glenveagh National Park all within easy access. It is also within easy reach of Donegal Airport.
